When:  Monday, September 18, 2017, at 7:00 p.m.

Where:  Union County Agriculture Center, 3230 Presson Rd # D, Monroe, NC 28112  Map

Competition is open to homeschool groups, homeschool co-ops, Ecology clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, soil-judging teams, 4H clubs, home study groups, environmental groups, Vo-Ag groups, or any group interested in competing.  Teams can be from 3 to 5 members with 2 alternates.

The goal of NC Envirothon is to provide and promote leadership in the knowledge of natural resources by offering a quality education program in: soils/land use, forestry, aquatic ecology, wildlife/habitat and current issues to the teachers, students and citizens of North Carolina.

The program hopes to instill in all students a basic, scientific knowledge of natural resources to help them become environmentally aware citizens who are able to make good decisions as adults.
