There must be a minimum of 30 students in order to hold this class. Class maximum is 35 students. Students must be age 14 1/2 by the class start date. Students will also be given an eye check that must be passed in order to start behind the wheel instruction.
Driver education courses that are open only to homeschoolers in Mecklenburg County are arranged by a volunteer through Jordan Driving School. The volunteer must coordinate a facility, schedule the class with Jordan, and advertise the class to the community. This course was coordinated for the Mecklenburg County homeschooling community by Ms. Evelyn Bickley. Thank you, Evelyn!
Although others may be scheduled during the coming school year, this is currently the only homeschool driver education class that we know of for Mecklenburg County students.
If you are unable to register your Mecklenburg County student for this course, you may contact your local public high school to enroll your student in driver education. If you would like to coordinate a course for other Mecklenburg County homeschool students, please contact Jordan Driving School's Charlotte office at 704-566-9900. Jordan only teaches in Mecklenburg County.
