Homeschool Field Trip:  Lazy 5 Ranch

 

NCHE (North Carolinians for Home Education) invites ALL homeschoolers to join them for a homeschool field trip to the Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville, NC.  The Lazy 5 Ranch is located at 15100 Mooresville Road, Mooresville, NC 28115.  (Map)

 

The Lazy 5 Ranch is an exotic animal park.  The ranch is home to more than 750 animals from six continents!  Exotic animals include varieties of deer, cattle, kangaroos, ostriches, camels, rhino, zebra, and giraffe.  NCHE has negotiated a special discounted admission price for this homeschool field trip!

 

TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE THROUGH NCHE - DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2017

Cost:  $10.50 per child (ages 2-11) and $11.50 ages 12 and up.

 

Participants must arrive no later than 10:45 a.m.  As a group, we will go on a horse-drawn wagon ride, which will last about 1 hour and 15 minutes.  The ride will take us along a 3 1/2 mile tour of the animals' habitats.  We will get to hand feed some of the animals from the wagon with the buckets of feed that are provided.  You can also drive your own vehicle along the wagon road. 

 

After the wagon ride, you may stay as long as you wish.  The park closes 1 hour before sunset.   Picnic areas are free for our use on a first come, first served basis.
